Zusammen mit Raoul Schrott und dem Filmteam um Tom Matzek starteten wir im April 2009 eine Expedition, um Almasy’s legendäres Expeditionsfahrzeug"Purzel" und das Depot III "Räuberlager" zu finden. Auf den Spuren Almasy’s wurden wir schliesslich im Gilf Kebir fündig und konnten das geheime Versorgungsdepot mit Resten des zurückgelassenen Expeditionsfahrzeuges wieder entdecken. Eine Dokumentation dieser aufregenden Expeditionstour wurde vor kurzem im ORF gesendet.

In April 2009 we started together with Raoul Schrott and the Film team of Tom Matzek an expedition to rediscover the location of Almasy’s famous car „Purzel“ he used on his secret mission „Salam“ during the II World war, and the 3rd “robber’s den”. Following the tracks of Almasy we discovered in the Gilf Kebir the secret hide-out place and pieces of this famous left car. A documentary of this expedition was broadcasted last September on the ORF (AustrianBroadcasting)
